INTRODUCTION
The RES3DMOD package comes in a single compressed installation file
SETUP.EXE. It is a Windows based installation program which will
install the program files. In Windows 95/98/Me/2000/NT, click 'Start',
and then 'Run' followed by 'Browse'. Locate the disk and subdiretory
with the SETUP.EXE file, and then run it.
To get the best performance from this program, you should use Windows
in the 800x600 or the 1024x786 graphics mode with 256 colours. If you
are still using the 640x480 VGA graphics mode, try to change to the
800x600 mode which gives more room to display the pseudosections. To
display the colours properly, you will need to use a 256 colours mode.
It will run with the 16-bit (64K) and 24-bit (16.7 million) colour
modes, but graphics operations will be significnatly slower and the
memory available to the program will be less.
If you are using a screen saver, please turn it off or change the
time setting to at least 20 minutes. It can take a while to calculate
the potentials for large, and the screen saver has an unfortunate habit
clearing the screen!
